Are you a support worker seeking a fresh opportunity? Would you like to make a difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs? If you would like to take up this exciting challenge then please read on.

This service, managed by a leading provider of assisted living, provides supported living for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs in a residential setting, and is looking to add a female member of staff to their team. They are looking for a calm, friendly and energetic individual who is well motivated, hardworking and keen to join their friendly team. The service offers support for service users with a range of support needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or a physical disability. By joining this service you will have the opportunity to enable residents to improve their quality of live in and out of the service.

This is a 37.5h a week role with long day and sleep in shifts.

A full, clean UK drivers Licence is required to fulfil the duties required.

Support Worker Duties:
Administering medication
Be willing to actively embrace all aspects of the role including support with personal care and domestic tasks as well as community activities such as walking, swimming and going to the gym. Moving and handling
Demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the variety of people that we support
Follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.

The Ideal candidate would:
Be enthusiastic about assisting those in need
Have recent experience working in a care environment with adults with mental health difficulties or learning disabilities.
Be patient, sociable and empathetic, in order to establish good relationships with residents based on confidence, trust, understanding and mutual respect
Have a positive attitude, a good sense of humour and are passionate about working in care
