About the school
Our exclusive client is a special school that offers access to education for students aged 5 to 11 who have difficulty learning as a result of Complex Needs, including Autism and Communication Difficulties. The school is based in Southampton/Thornhill.
They help develop young people's emotional well-being and social skills. The aim is to develop students to be effective learners so they are able to cope better with the things they find challenging. As a school, they do this through a focus on establishing positive and healthy relationships, emotional well-being and developing social skills.
This is a full time role (08:45-15:15, Monday to Friday, term time only) that will be on a temporary to permanent contract. Meaning that after a successful period of working with Teaching Personnel you would then move onto the school's contract.
An ideal Teaching Assistant for this school will have experience supporting young people with learning difficulties in a school, or similar setting. A key requirement of this role is to have an outgoing personality that can enable you to fully flourish within this role and to transfer skills you may have from previous roles into this environment! If you do not already have experience working in a setting such as this then any personal or professional experience with similar needs is welcomed!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
