SEN Qualified Teacher – Waltham Forest

Immediate Start – Full-Time

This welcoming and attentive school recruiting two dedicated, reliable and experienced, SEN teacher's to assistant to join their secondary team. This school caters for children aged 5-16 who are visually impaired with additional needs including ASD, SLD and SCL. This is a long-term position with the potential of a permanent position. The school encourages their students to feel safe, secured and valued whilst at school whilst gaining the skills, knowledge and qualifications that will support them in the next stage of their lives. Through excellent one-to-one support, high-quality teaching and by harnessing the latest technology available, this institution does not just help pupils access the curriculum, it brings it alive for them


  • Deliver high quality lessons to students with visual impairments and special educational needs.
  • Liaise with health and educational specialists to promote joint working initiatives to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assisting and implementing workshops that focus on building the students' academic, physical, academic and social skills as well as their self-esteem   
  • Attending weekly reviews with SENCO to assess the student's emotional and academic development.

  • Excellent communication skills and is able to work co-operatively and collaboratively with a range of staff (including LSA's, colleagues and multi-agency professionals) with the aim of addressing the student's needs holistically.
