We are recruiting for a number of talented Residential Support Workers who want to make a real difference to our children and young people every single day they come to work!The roles will work in our state of the art 4 bedroom children's and young adults' homes (age range 3-25 years old) at our single site in Cheadle Hulme, near Manchester airport. (NO travel required)

Here at Seashell Trust we provide excellent care and education for our children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment and communication disorders and autism.

•These active roles will involve providing daily care and support for our children and young people including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities

•Challenging behaviours will present in these roles, so to fully support our young people, candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment – training is provided

•These are full time permanent rolesfor Residential Support/Care Workers – flexibility to work shifts is required (see below)


•Experience working in a care setting supporting children/people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments or in a mental health setting is preferred.We can also consider life experience

•GCSE English and Maths (grade A-C) or a level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification is a requirement for these positions

•Level 3 diploma qualification in Children's & Young People Workforce / Health & Social Care (or similar) is preferred but not essential – successful applicants who are not qualified yet can “earn as you learn” as we will enrol and support you to complete the qualification, and work towards your Care Certificate.

The hours

•Flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours per week)

•The roles operate on a rotating shift pattern

•The roles will work every other weekend
