Job description
Are you driven to positively impact the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable children? A specialist school in Sheffield is looking for a committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This position involves offering care and support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Role:
- Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
- Location: Sheffield
- Start Date: September 2024
- Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, term time only
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils' learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and inspire them to learn.
- Deliver a range of interventions to small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
Requirements:
- Inclusive and Professional: You should be engaging, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experienced with SEN: Experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs, particularly social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Knowledgeable in SEND: Understanding of how SEND impacts pupils' learning and development.
- Team Teach qualification preferred, training can be provided.
- Skilled in Literacy and Numeracy: Confident skills in these areas to effectively support students.
- Passionate about Education: Committed to making a positive impact on pupils' learning journeys.
