Job description
📍 Location: Telford 📅 Start Date: ASAP 📄 Contract: Full-time, ongoing 💼 Salary: MPS/UPS + SEND allowance About the Role:You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored education to pupils with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and communication difficulties. Working alongside experienced support staff and the SENCO, you'll create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment that promotes progress and independence.
Responsibilities:What We're Looking For:
Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
Use creative and adaptive approaches to engage learners
Foster emotional and social development in the classroom
Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and external agencies
Track and assess progress, celebrating achievements big and small
Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
What's on Offer:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - Primary or Secondary
Experience working with SEND pupils (in a specialist or mainstream setting)
Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning
Resilient, nurturing and creative approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Additional training (e.g. Team Teach, Makaton, PECS) is desirable but not essential
