Job description
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the expertise to deliver tailored lessons that make a real difference in a child's learning journey? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team on a temporary basis.
Key Details:
- Job Type: Temporary
- Hours: Flexible (arranged around your availability)
- Location: Child's home, local library, or school (as agreed)
- Subjects: Core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons to meet the specific needs of the child
- Use inclusive SEN learning strategies to create an engaging and supportive environment
- Adapt teaching methods to suit a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) requirements
- Monitor and assess the child's progress, adjusting lesson plans as needed
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience with SEND students is essential
- Qualifications: SEN qualifications are desirable, but not required
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE: Desirable but not mandatory
- DBS Check: Must have or be willing to undertake a DBS check
- Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK
To be eligible for the LSA role through Prospero Teaching you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references
