SEND Teaching Assistant - Dudley
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Contract: Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive special needs school in Dudley. Please only apply if you have previous experience working in a special needs school or specialist SEND setting.
The Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of complex needs, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
Support learning activities in line with individual education plans
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
Assist with personal care where required
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience working in a special needs school or specialist SEND setting
A patient, calm, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
