The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting students' learning by managing classrooms and delivering pre-prepared lessons. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, gain experience in different schools, and make a positive impact on students' education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Management: Supervise students and ensure they are engaged in learning activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Support Learning: Help deliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring students stay on track with their coursework.
- Maintain Order: Follow school policies regarding behaviour and safeguarding to create a safe, productive learning environment.
- Build Relationships: Develop strong, positive relationships with both students and staff, contributing to a supportive and inclusive school community.
- Adaptability: Be ready to step into different classrooms and settings, offering flexibility and consistency wherever needed.
What We're Looking For:
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate (registered with the update service) or be willing to complete a new DBS check.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to engage students and build positive relationships quickly.
