Lead Teacher for Complex Needs school

An outstanding school in Manchester are looking to appoint a motivated SEN professional to join their middle leadership team as a Lead Teacher within this secondary special school. The school caters for students aged 11- 19 with complex needs including ASD and sensory processing disorders. You will need to be an individual who can inspire, motivate and lead a team as a highly effective leader and excellent practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference as a Lead Teacher.

• Manage the work of the care team

• Plan and prepare lessons for a range of subjects

 Person specification – Lead Teacher

• Qualified Teacher Status is essential

• Additional SEND teaching qualification would be an advantage but not essential

• Extensive experience of teaching and supporting young people with Complex Needs

• Ability to demonstrate impact of teaching complex needs

• Knowledge of SEN strategies

• Able to deploy support staff appropriately

• Plan and deliver lessons depending on individual ability
