Intervention Teaching Assistant in Watford (Intervention TA AL)

Teaching Personnel is currently looking to recruit an experienced Secondary School Teaching Assistant with a particular focus on implementing Intervention strategies with pupils.

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant for pupils of a secondary age who require some extra assistance in core curriculum subjects with a view to achieving required outcome results by using intervention strategies. Experience with secondary aged students is a must along with confidence, enthusiasm and motivation to the classroom.

You will be required to work with pupils in the main classroom or work with smaller groups and occasional 1:1 when required, some pupils who you will work with may need guidance in their behaviour and concentration as well as their academic work.

Essential skills required - 

• Minimum of 3 months experience of working with pupils within the last 2 years.
• Ability to engage with pupils of varying ages and abilities.
• Experience of working on a one to one basis with pupils.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• A flexible, adaptable approach to work.
