Person Specification - Learning and Behaviour Mentor
Opportunity
This Learning and Behaviour Mentor role requires an innovative
graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree and has the
skills to take on additional responsibilities in their stride. You
must have the skills to gain the trust of the students in your
class and act as a role model from day one. Ideally, the school
need a graduate who is able to demonstrate to both staff and
students their passion for teaching as a profession. You must
possess a real interest in playing a part in the running of
afterschool clubs and whole school activities.
About the Learning and Behaviour Mentor role - Excellent
pre-Teaching Experience
Part of your remit will be to participate in, manage, and perhaps
even lead struggling or excelling pupils in small intervention
groups or 1:1 academic sessions. You will be encouraged to take
more responsibility as your tenure progresses, eventually leading
whole classes under the direction of the class teachers. You will
ensure that resources are available for class activities and the
department is led by an inspirational SENCO. Learn new skills and
techniques through an impressive CPD scheme and the school sees
staff support as hugely important and assigns you a dedicated
mentor SENCO.
