Job description
To start after Easter, full time, long term Teaching Assistant position to support primary aged children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The school has provision for pupils aged 5-11 years old who have an education, health, and care plan (EHCP) that reflects their needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
We are looking someone who can fully commit, and really support the children individually to help them overcome their challenges and engage in learning. Experience of working with children is essential but not necessarily in the classroom. If you have a sports background this would be ideal as the children enjoy playing football to regulate their emotions and to overcome challenges. We are looking for someone who has lots of empathy, and a positive and energetic attitude.
You will be joining a vibrant, dedicated, and positive team.
The school offers a creative curriculum, and a very child centred and nurturing approach to support and enthuse young learners to reach their potential. Children work in small groups or one to one.
