Job description
Are you looking for your next challenge? Do you want to be teaching more practical than theory? We are seeking to recruit a qualified teacher in the expert field of DCT/Construction.
You will lead our construction programme working with learners who are accessing our Alternative Learning Provision (ALP) at our site in Brislington, Bristol. Our learners all have Special Educational Needs (SEND), and have Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs), requiring very bespoke packages of learning. Our bespoke packages are built around their interests and we deliver qualifications (National Open College Network - NOCNs).
We have our own construction centre, which replicates a true 'site' with a site office and builders yard as well as a large indoor space for tiling; plastering; carpentary and much more.
We have new partnership with the national firm Jewsons, who are supporting our work programme with a range of activities; provision of equipment and 'real' sessions for learners. This is an exciting time to be joining our team as we are at the start of our partnershipa and excited to see how far this can go with the right person to lead and take this forward.
