What Does a Student Cover Supervisor Do?When teachers are absent, schools need confident individuals to supervise lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Supervising classes across a range of subjects
- Delivering instructions and pre-set lesson tasks
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Supporting students to complete work independently
- Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of lessons
You'll help provide consistency for students while gaining valuable experience yourself.
