Sports Coach
Location: Trafford
Start Date: ASAP
Role: Mainly day-to-day and short-term supply, with potential for longer-term opportunities
Pay: £95-£120 per day, depending on experienceCover People are currently recruiting Sports Coaches to work across schools in Trafford.
The majority of these opportunities are day-to-day and short-term, making them ideal for Sports Coaches looking for flexible work in education. Where a school has an ongoing requirement, there may also be opportunities to move into longer-term placements.
This could suit Sports Graduates, PE Graduates, qualified coaches and experienced youth or community sports coaches looking to use their skills in a school environment.
The RoleDepending on the school and the booking, you may be involved in:
About You
Supporting and delivering PE lessons
Leading sports sessions for individuals and small groups
Covering PE lessons and planned activities
Encouraging participation, teamwork and positive behaviour
Supporting pupils with different abilities and confidence levels
Running lunchtime clubs and extracurricular activities
Helping pupils develop physical skills and self-confidence
Supporting classroom activities where required
Working alongside teachers and other school staff
Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive environment
We're looking for enthusiastic and dependable Sports Coaches who are confident working with children and young people.
Experience in football, rugby, cricket, athletics, basketball, fitness or other sports would be welcomed.
A sports-related degree, coaching qualification or recognised coaching badge is desirable, although relevant experience working with children and young people will also be considered.
You should have good communication skills, confidence managing groups and a positive, professional approach.
