Speech and Language Therapist📍 Location: Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport

Join a compassionate and committed team where your voice is heard, your work is valued, and your growth is supported. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you'll be at the heart of delivering impactful, tailored support to students with learning disabilities and autism.
Role:Key Responsibilities:
Provide both direct and indirect Speech and Language Therapy to students with learning disabilities and autism.
Support students' communication skills and overall educational development.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective communication strategies.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students.
Requirements:
Assess students' communication abilities using formal and informal methods.
Deliver evidence-based interventions and create personalised therapy plans.
Make differential diagnoses and recommend communication aids or strategies, with support from senior colleagues.
Monitor student progress and prepare professional reports for internal use and external bodies.
Provide training to parents, carers, and staff on communication techniques and augmentative communication tools.
Maintain HCPC and RCSLT registration and demonstrate clinical effectiveness through outcome measurement.
Prioritise and manage a caseload effectively, seeking guidance when needed.
Contribute to a culture of inclusion and equality throughout the organisation.

HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
Strong assessment, intervention planning, and evaluation skills.
An interest in or experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
Familiarity with Makaton or a willingness to learn.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
