SEND Teaching Assistant - Telford
Location: Telford
Contract: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Telford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and make a meaningful difference to their learning and development.
The Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Assist with learning activities, both in and out of the classroom
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Provide emotional and social support tailored to individual needs
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
About You:
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children with SEND
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education
