Pay: £85 - £100 per day
Location: Barnsley (S74)We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with a range of additional needs, including physical, speech, and hearing difficulties, as well as a recent ASD diagnosis. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a child's school experience.
The Role:
Provide consistent 1:1 support, adapting learning activities to suit individual needs.
Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to implement effective support strategies and communication methods.
Assist with speech and physical development through structured, engaging activities.
Promote inclusion and encourage independence and confidence within the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD, physical, or communication needs.
Is nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
Can build strong, positive relationships and adapt flexibly to meet individual needs.
