We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit SEND Support Assistants (ALP Co-ordinators). You will need to be a resilient individual who is able to relate to the communication needs of our learners, who use behaviour as a means of communication. We are looking for individuals who are able to relate to our learners, all of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEND) and have Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs). We have high aspirations for our learners and their bespoke packages of support align with their own interests and aspirations. In addition to literacy and numeracy our learners are able to access a wide range of enrichment activities, alongside working towards recognised qualifications (National Open College Network - NOCN).
We aim to support our learners onto their next educational pathway which may be a return to a formal education setting, college and/or into employment.
You would work at our Brislington Site in Bristol and work alongside a supportive team. Ideally you will be able to drive and support the transport of learners to and from provision and enrichment activities, but this is not a reason to not apply.
