Job description
Are you a resilient individual in nature who has a passion for supporting children or individuals with challenging behaviour?
Do you have experience working with children who have SEMH or SEN needs?
Sennen Education is currently working with a specialist alternative provision setting who specialises on providing a tailored and supportive experience to pupils who have SEMH needs & SEND. This school's main aim is to enable all children to live remarkable lives. The role requires Team Teach training to follow the school's positive behaviour policy and support the children with the approached already in place. They work with children aged 11-16 years old and have specialised provisions within the school specific to various pupil needs which includes:
· Opportunities for Outdoor Learning.
· Specialised 1-1 or group support when required.
· ASC Supportive Strategies.
· Behavioural Plans and Medical Support.
Ideal Candidates will:
· Have previous experience working with challenging behaviours either from the classroom environment or a Care and Support Background.
· You will be resilient in nature and comfortable working within challenging environments and various SEMH needs.
· You will be confident and have excellent communication skills
· Work collaboratively with the learning support team
