Job description

Job Title: SEN Teacher
Area: South Croydon CR2
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full time, Long term
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN allowance
Working hours: Monday to Friday

Brief description:
Teach and support pupils with complex learning needs in a nurturing specialist setting.

About the school:
A supportive specialist provision offering a tailored curriculum for pupils with physical, medical, and learning needs. Staff work collaboratively and benefit from strong leadership and access to multidisciplinary support.

About the role:
You will plan and deliver adapted lessons, create accessible learning opportunities, work closely with support staff, and contribute to EHCP targets. You will maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and engagement.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:

  • Deliver personalised learning to pupils with varied SEN needs
  • Use differentiation and communication strategies effectively
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and support EHCP processes
  • Promote safeguarding and positive behaviour

Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working within SEN settings
  • Strong understanding of complex needs and alternative communication
  • Patience, resilience, and a pupil centred approach
  • Clear DBS and full safeguarding compliance
