Psychology Graduate - SEN School (Salford)
Start Date: January • Location: Salford • Role: Full-timeAre you a psychology graduate looking to begin your career in a meaningful and rewarding setting? A forward-thinking SEN school in Salford is looking for a compassionate, resilient and motivated graduate to join their team supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including PMLD, MLD and SLD.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist environment, develop your understanding of additional needs, and make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with PMLD, MLD and SLD in a nurturing and inclusive setting
Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored learning and sensory-based activities
Assisting with communication, engagement and emotional regulation
Following EHCPs and supporting pupils' individual development targets
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
Using resilience, empathy and positive reinforcement to build trust and support progress
What We're Looking For:
Recent Psychology graduate (or related degree)
A calm, caring and inclusive approach
Resilience and strong relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Ability to adapt to different needs and learning styles
Any experience in SEN, care, youth work or mental health is highly beneficial
