Primary SEND Teacher - SEMH & Inclusion

The Role
This role sits within the school's Specialist Resource Provision and focuses on delivering a curriculum that supports both academic progress and emotional development.
You will:
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons for pupils with diverse SEND and SEMH profiles
- Adapt Key Stage curriculum content to meet individual developmental stages
- Deliver targeted interventions to support:
o Communication and language
o Emotional regulation
o Literacy and numeracy
o Life skills and independence
- Use engagement-based assessment approaches and individual learning plans to track progress
- Create a classroom environment that is structured, nurturing, and consistent
Working as Part of a Team
This is a highly collaborative role.
You will:
- Work closely with the SENDCo to ensure EHCP provision is effectively delivered
- Support and guide teaching assistants to maintain consistent strategies
- Build relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates and involvement in reviews
- Contribute to multi-agency working with external specialists
Beyond the Classroom
You will also:
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the SRP provision
- Maintain accurate records of progress and interventions
- Engage in continuous professional development in SEND and inclusive education
- Support whole-school and Trust wide understanding of SEMH and inclusive practice
Who We're Looking For
- QTS with primary or early years experience
- Strong understanding of SEND, SEMH, and inclusive pedagogy
- Ability to personalise learning effectively
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to making education engaging and accessible
