Job description
A leading educational institution in Salford, Greater Manchester, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Autism Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with autism, helping them to develop essential skills and reach their full potential.
As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one support to students with autism
- Assisting in the development and implementation of individualised learning plans
- Facilitating communication and social skills development
- Encouraging independence and self-advocacy
- Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to student support
To succeed in this role, you should have prior experience working with individuals with autism, a strong understanding of autism-specific strategies, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A relevant qualification in education or special needs support is highly desirable but not essential.
In return for your commitment and expertise, our client offers a competitive salary of £90 per day, with the added benefits of paid PAYE, equal pay to permanent staff from the 13th week onwards. Excellent perks package also available.
