Alternative Curriculum Support
Tonypandy - Min £12.90 per hour

Are you confident in supporting children with challenging behaviours? Do you have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD)? If so, Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for one of our partnership schools to take on a full-time position starting in September. Interviews are being held online over the next 2 weeks.


  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, focusing on social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Assist in the development of alternative curriculum materials and activities that engage and inspire SEBD students.


  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of SEBD and experience with this with children or adults is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the educational development of young learners.
  • A current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate registered on the Update Service.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
