We are looking for a thoughtful, engaging, and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support a KS2 pupil with global developmental delay, currently working at a KS1 level. This long-term opportunity is perfect for someone who can bring warmth, creativity, and consistency to their support, helping the pupil thrive in a personalised learning environment.
RoleIn this rewarding position, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored, hands-on support that enables the pupil to engage with learning, develop confidence, and grow socially and academically. Key responsibilities include:

Providing patient and calm 1:1 support throughout the school day
Using creative, practical strategies to make learning meaningful and engaging
Supporting communication, independence, and confidence within the classroom
Encouraging social interaction and peer inclusion at the child's pace
Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to follow an adapted curriculum plan
Offering consistent encouragement and reassurance to help the pupil feel secure
We are seeking someone with experience in SEND, care, or 1:1 support, who can adapt to the pupil's individual needs and provide nurturing guidance. Key qualities include:

Experience in SEND, EYFS, or 1:1 support roles, or transferable skills from care or related settings
