We are actively seeking an educational support assistant to help KS3 and KS4 pupils in a large secondary school. The school are looking for an educational support assistant that can work on a full-time basis. The school are looking to offer the successful support assistant a daily rate of £61.20 – 70 per day dependent on experience.
Our secondary school are currently seeking someone who can support all aspects of daily secondary school life, supporting pupils with reading, writing, communication and academic skills. Since the pandemic began the schools have seen a huge impact on the learning of all pupils and catch-up programmes have become a necessity to each individual.
Your role will consist of multiple elements of support during the school week, from working on a 1:1 basis to working within the classroom… the school are looking for a proactive member to join the team. You will be assigned a key pupil who you will spend 50% of your timetable with, following this selected pupil to lessons and ensuring that they are on time with the correct equipment. In addition to this you will be supporting other pupils within the specialist unit of the school for the remainder of your timetable. Elements of special educational needs and pastoral support will be vital in the role.
Our school has a base unit that supports all teaching assistants within the school for additional support, additional training and advice when needed. You will have access to learning rooms and the base unit to take your selected pupils to for the intervention sessions. The school are offering onsite parking as well as a mentor to have during the placement within the school to help develop your skills within education.
The ideal educational support assistant –
- Available to work on a full-time basis
- Come from a sports, care, Tutoring or education background
- Can travel to the CF3 area
- Experience with SEN needs and emotional support
