Drama Background Secondary Teaching Assistant

Job description

We are currently teaching assistants from drama backgrounds such as acting, drama & musical to work in a secondary special needs school located in Wandsworth. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting students development, differentiating work to meet students needs and developing social skills with students who have a diagnosis of special needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties and moderate learning disabilities. This particular school are looking for teaching assistant that can apply their creative skills within a specialist secondary setting.

The role:
  • Working Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 15:30
  • Supporting students in creative lessons such as art, music and dance
  • Developing speech and language and social skills
  • Teaching low level English, maths and science
  • Working one to one with students and supporting the class
  • Promoting a positive and enjoyable learning experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
