We are delighted to be working alongside one of our partner schools in the NG7 area who are looking to add a teaching assistant to their team to work alongside their pupils who present with special needs. The role will be full time and will be contracted until the end of July 2021.

The school are looking for someone who:

• Has an understanding of how to work with autistic pupils
• Holds at least one years' experience of working within a school
• Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degree
• Has a fantastic attendance record and will be reliable
• Will be able to quickly build relationships with children and staff
• Is available to work from March 2021
• Has a valid and up to date DBS

The main duties within the role will be:

• Supporting SEN children on a 1:1 basis
• Leading small academic sessions with pupils on the SEN register
• Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around pupil progress
• Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons
• Assisting the class teacher with the set up of the classroom

You will be paid on a weekly basis and the pay will be between £300 and £350 per week, dependant upon experience
